A Gift for You Goodie Bag

To say thank you to the lovely ladies attending tomorrow evenings meet up, I've created these adorable goodie bags.  Shhh, don't tell them, it's a surprise!  This is a fun and easy project that you can do, too! Here are the supplies that I used, but they can easily be customized to suit your occasion.

White paper lunch bags

CTMH Exclusive Ink in Blush (Item # Z2106)
CTMH Exclusive Ink in Sweet Leaf (Item # Z2153)
CTMH Jubilation Stamp Set (Item # D1457)
CTMH Pair a Phrase Stamp Set (Item # CC1014)

I cut out the topper and cupcake image using my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.

The goodie part of the goodie bag is up to you.  These lovely bags contain some mini chocolate candy bars to keep up our energy while we create!  If you would like additional details about this project, leave me a comment with your email and I'll send you more instructions.

CTMH Avonlea Workshops on the Go

This weekend I had a great time putting together 2 layouts using the new Avonlea Workshops on the Go Scrapbooking kit (Item # G1045 $29.95).  

In this layout, I followed the recipe in the kit, but added a bit of drama by substituting a few stickers from the coordinating Avonlea Complements Canvas Shapes (item # X7155C $5.95).

I loved how easily everything came together in such a short time!

I still have lots of supplies left from the kit, so I made this adorable tag by cutting out the shapes on my Cricut using the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge.  Then I stamped a thank you message with a coordinating stamp that came with the collection (Item # Z1686 $99.00).

CKC Charlotte 2012

You may have noticed that I love to scrapbook!  So this Saturday was a really exciting day for me when I attended CKC (Creating Keepsakes Convention) in Charlotte, NC.  My best friend Jennifer and I drove down for the day and had a wonderful time.  We met lots of great people that shared a mutual love for the art and had a great time shopping at the vendor fair.  We took three classes and learned lots of new techniques to try out with future projects.

Speaking of future projects...I received my Workshop on the Go (WOTG) kit from Close To My Heart in the gorgeous Avonlea pattern.  I'll be making up the 2 two-page layouts and posting them here for you to see.  Watch for the pictures in the next few days.  

I've also made plans for a group gathering to do a "create and take" project of a beautiful holiday gift tag.  Save the date of Friday, August 31st to meet up here in Asheville, NC to do this fun project using the new CTMH Pear & Partridge paper collection.

Hello and welcome to my blog!  My name is Karen Care’ and as of today I am an Independent Consultant with Close To My Heart.  For those of you not familiar with Close To My Heart (CTMH), it is an amazing company specializing in teaching “you how to celebrate relationships through discovering your creativity, to preserve and share the moments that matter most”.  With coordinating inks, papers, stamps and embellishments I can show you how to celebrate the special people and moments in your life.
